Job description

Some roles are about tasks. Others are about people. As the Company Nurse at Unity Communications, yours is the latter–showing up for our employees' health and well-being with the same care you'd want for your own family.

That care takes many forms, from treating a workplace injury to running wellness programs, guiding employees through their HMO and government health benefits, and owning our OSH program alongside the safety officer. If this sounds like the kind of work that matters to you, we would love to have you on our team!

How You Spend Your Eight Hours

  • Manage employee health concerns:

  • Provide first aid, emergency care, and treatment for illnesses and injuries that occur at work

  • Conduct health checks and screenings (e.g., blood pressure, glucose levels) to monitor employees' health

  • Develop and implement wellness programs to promote healthy lifestyles among employees

  • Provide health education and counseling to employees on nutrition, exercise, and mental health

  • Maintain confidential medical records of employees, handle medical certificate verifications, and ensure compliance with relevant health regulations

  • Collaborate with the safety officer to ensure a safe working environment, conduct workplace inspections, and identify potential health hazards

  • Take ownership of the OSH program and its ongoing compliance

  • Maintain a warm relationship with the HMO provider, facilitate enrollment and disenrollment for new and departing employees, and assist employees in understanding and utilizing their HMO benefits

  • Assist employees with SSS sickness, maternity, and Magna Carta claims, ensure timely submission of required documents to government agencies, and stay updated on changes in government statutory health benefits

  • Perform the following administrative duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medical supplies, medications, and equipment, as well as employees' 201 files

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on health and safety metrics, incidents, and compliance status to management

  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure the infirmary is well-stocked and equipped

  • Coordinate appointments for employee health screenings, vaccinations, and follow-up visits with healthcare providers

  • Assist in managing the budget for health and wellness programs, ensuring cost-effective use of resources

  • Cross-train to learn the team's roles to provide overflow and backup support as needed

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned within the scope of practice

What You Must Possess

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with a valid PRC license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Philippines

  • At least 1 to 2 years of clinical or occupational health experience, preferably in a corporate or BPO setting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with basic reporting tools

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for employee health education and counseling

  • Ability to work independently during night shift hours in an on-site clinic setting

What You Shall Receive

  • HMO coverage upon regularization, with one free dependent after one year of continuous service and another free dependent after two years of continuous service

  • VL/SL credits upon regularization

  • Friendly and supportive work culture

  • 13th-month pay and other Philippine-government-mandated benefits

  • Non-taxable allowances
